School life

What makes our schools so special? Some say its the Christian ethos, that we bring out the best in our pupils, our strong academic results, the genuine passion and dedication of our teachers; we believe it's all this and more...

Every parent wants the best for their child. That means an environment that truly sees the individual, that develops their strength and offers support for their weaknesses. We believe that every person is made in the image of God and is truly loved and valued by him, so as Christians we’re called to nurture and encourage our pupils to reach the best of their ability.

As an independent school, we can choose to keep our class sizes smaller, which means we can offer tailored learning and support to our pupils, treating them as the
wonderful individuals that they are. We also keep our fees as low as possible to make our school accessible to many.

Most of our enquiries come from personal recommendations, which speaks volumes about how parents feel our school supports and develops their child. We have high parent and pupil satisfaction, combined with strong academic results. We expect a lot from our pupils in terms of their behaviour and character and this makes our pupils highly desirable to further education establishments and employers alike. Some of our pupils have gone on to be Head Girl, Head Boy or Deputy at their sixth forms.

Our teachers are all practising Christians who have been called to education, whether on the sports field, in the classroom or for outdoor learning. In addition, we encourage pupils from all years and their parents to get to know each other, developing community as part of our Christian faith.

Over 95% of parents felt they were satisfied or extremely satisfied with their child’s experience at school.

What our students say:

“King's school taught me so much about my faith and each teacher encouraged our curiosity and a deeper understanding of topics in discussions or other fun ways! I will miss King's very much and will always appreciate my time there!” Year 11 leaver
